Kuala Lumpur, AUGUST 2015 – Enactus UTHM won the All Star Award in the recent Enactus Malaysia National Cup (EMNC), an award given only to the best six teams in the country. The members’ dedication and hard work has culminated in their project which has impressed many judges, whom are corporate leaders of big companies like KPMG, Media Prima and CIMB Foundation.
With UTHM first appearance in EMNC, the award represents Enactus UTHM potential as a growing organisation that is set for greater things. The competition was held at MECC, 3rd-4th August 2015, in Kuala Lumpur.
With more than 300 hours committed by 25 members, guided by Professor Madya Dr. Wan Fauziah Wan Yusoff, Enactus UTHM undertook and oversaw four social projects ( Tech2Biz, M-Coop, Roll4Biz, Pre-Love Items), of which two were presented during the EMNC.
 Enactus UTHM projects focuses on empowering people in need through social and entrepreneurial action which was achieved throughout the four projects. They created financial opportunities to poor students (Tech2Biz) which not only improved the livelihood of the students but enable them to equipped themselves with entrepreneurial knowledge which allowed sustainability of their income.
The Enactus Malaysia National Cup is a competition for Enactus teams from Malaysia to showcase their projects. Enactus projects are socially, financially and environmentally driven with the objective to empower people to improve livelihoods. Enactus UTHM has shown great commitment to these values in their projects.
