Dr. Mohd Irwan bin Juki is a Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He embarked on his academic journey by earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His passion for advancing knowledge led him to pursue his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA.

Throughout his illustrious career, Prof. Mohd Irwan held various academic and administrative positions at UTHM, starting as a lecturer and ascending to the esteemed rank of Professor. He has served in pivotal roles such as Head of Department of Structure and Material Engineering Department, Deputy Dean (Academic and International), and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Built Environment. In addition, he has held positions such as Engineer (Industrial Attachment Programme) at the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia and Visiting Professor at Saga Universiti, Japan.

With diverse research portfolio, Prof. Mohd Irwan has delved into areas such as Structural Engineering, Composite Structures, Material Engineering, and Sustainable Building Practices. He has secured substantial funding and published prolifically, with over 150 journals, proceedings, and book chapter articles, 4 books, and numerous technical reports to his credit.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Prof. Mohd Irwan has made significant contributions to the professional community, serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals and holding professional memberships in key professional societies including the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Beyond academia, Prof. Mohd Irwan is actively engaged in community service projects and collaborative efforts with various organisations, reflecting his commitment to societal well-being and the advancement of engineering practices.
