Batu Pahat, 12 Feb 2024  The food technology panel from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST), UTHM has recently hosted a momentous event, marking the dawn of a promising collaboration with distinguished counterparts from Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography (MSU-TCTO), The Philippines. The prestigious MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by many including academic staff, at the Tan Sri Johan Jaafar Corner, Level 3, Tunku Tun Aminah Library UTHM.

Among the esteemed guests, including Prof. Ts. Dr. Rabiah binti Ahmad, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) representing UTHM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sr. Ts. Dr. Lokman Hakim bin Ismail, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Dr. Mas Fawzi bin Mohd. Ali, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic & Quality), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Zaky bin Noh, Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST).

The MSU-TCTO Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mary Joyce Z. Guinto accompanied by Director, Office of International Linkages, Asst. Prof. Kartini R. Tahir, Executive Assistant Director, Alnasul K. Sali, and Assoc. Prof. Rosalio Artes are the attendees attended the ceremony that encapsulate academic excellence and international collaboration.

Dr Nur Hafizah Malik, Head of Food Technology programme at FAST, disclosed one of the plans for a significant milestone where a staff member of MSU-TCTO will embark her master’s degree at FAST, UTHM commencing this March as stipulated in the MoU.
