PUTRAJAYA, 30 August 2023 – Honorary Guest His Excellency Mr. Naiyl M. Latypov, Russian Federation Ambassador of Malaysia attended the Opening Ceremony of The International Conference on Electrical and Electronic Engineering 2023 (ICon3E2023).

“Today, as we stand on the task of a new era, our responsibilities extend beyond innovation and discovery.

“They encompass sustainability, ethical considerations and a deep commitment to creating solutions that benefit both humans and millennials.

“In this dynamic environment where challenges can seem overwhelming, researchers have delivered topics related to the fields of medical technology, mechatronics and robotics, power systems, and renewable energy.

“Remember that your ideas, your experience and your passion hold the key to a great, viable and sustainable future,” he said.

He added that Russian universities and the Russian Government are ready to collaborate with Malaysian universities, especially with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), which from his point of view has made a lot of steps towards strengthening industry and university collaboration which will benefit the interest of Russian and Malaysian nations and people.

The event organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FKEE), UTHM was also attended by Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim, Vice Chancellor of UTHM, Senior Officers of the university and participants from home and abroad.

“The latest exploration of engineering innovation will surely drive towards a better and sustainable future for mankind.

“To some extent, I believe this will greatly improve the soft skills and remove self-reliance among researchers in conducting their research.

This platform can also be viewed as the catalyst to create networks among researchers and encourages collaborations between experts from various disciplines,” said Prof. Ruzairi.

ICon3E2023 took place from August 28 to August 29, 2023, with the theme “Versatility of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”

Together with the strategic partners including Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia), Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO), High Voltage, Power Energy Research (HiPER) and Semarak Ilmu Publishing, the 2023 edition of this conference series witnessed a remarkable milestone, as over 80% of the submitted manuscripts earned acceptance for publication in a Scopus Indexed Journal.

This unprecedented achievement marks a significant advancement for the conference.

The remaining accepted manuscripts will be published in a Google Indexed Journal, providing a valuable steppingstone towards professional success.

This year is the fifth conference which is organized in hybrid mode, and also features four keynote speakers, Professor Dr. Patrick Hosein, The University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago, USA;  Chu Jenn Weng, President and CEO of Vitrox Corporation Berhad; Professor Ir. Dr. Erwan Sulaiman, UTHM and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Norhaliza Abdul Wahab, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

The conference also served as a platform for enhancing existing collaborations between UTHM and Vitrox Corporation Berhad, represented by Chu Jenn Weng, as well as between UTHM and Norman Process Oils Malaysia Plant Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of ORGKHIM Biochemical Holding from Russia, represented by Mr. Alexander Borisov, the Managing Director.

The face-to-face discussion facilitated the exploration of future industrial and university partnerships.
