On 11 May 2017, Sekolah Menengah Sultan Abdul Jalil, FSTPi with the collaboration of Kluang Education Office, STEM organized with the participation of 28 secondary schools in Kluang. 15 students and 7 staffs have been joined that program. “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Road Tour Kluang” program is a pro-active steps to achieve a 60:40 basis of STEM flow: non-STEM. This active learning approaches program has elements of 21st century skills to increase student awareness of careers in STEM. Through this STEM program, UTHM able to share advance research with the public and students. The rationale for this program is to achieve the national wish for a state based on science and technology. Consequently, the Ministry of Education has set a target of a 60:40 ratio of students taking humanities and social fields to increasing participation of students in science and technology fields. Recruitment based on the ratio is not limited at the school level only but also at the university level.
