Go Green Programme

Social, welfare and community

The Go Green programme was held from 28 to 30 April 2016 at Kg. Lubuk Semerah, Pt. Sulong, Batu Pahat, Johor. The programme involved 24 UTHM students and staff as well as 30 villagers. It aimed to nurture the love for nature and encourage collaborative efforts between the students and the local community. Activities conducted were foster family programme, talks, morning walk, indoor games for children below 12, outdoor Explorace Think & Run, traditional sports, closing ceremony and cultural performances by the participants. UTHM provided a bus and sports equipment for the programme. A sum of RM1,904.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM4,522.56
