Kamarulzaki Mustafa is a Professor at the Department of Physics and Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Johor, Malaysia. He is currently the Provost of UTHM Pagoh Branch Campus.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Kamarulzaki is also a Principal Researcher at the Centre of Photonics Devices and Sensor Research (PDSR). His research interests include sensors, biosensors, sensing materials, and lasers. He is a reviewer of the reputable journal in the field of biosensors, Biosensors and Bioelectronics Journal.
As an administrator, he attended several leadership courses such as the Future Leaders Programme, Corporate Directors Leadership and Integrity, Strategic leadership Coaching University Leaders Course, and Human Governance in order to enhance his leadership skill.
Prof. Kamarulzaki completed his Doctor of Philosophy (2011) in Applied optics from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. He received his Master of Optical Physics (1999) and Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Physics (1997) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
He is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) awarded by MBOT, a committee member of the Sensor Malaysia Society, a life member of Institut Fizik Malaysia (IFM), a life member of The Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS) and a member of Nasional STEM Association (NSA).
