On 30th June 2015, the UTHM International Office had organised the annual iftar with international students.

The objective of the iftar was to strengthen the bond of friendship and family amongst international students and UTHM staff, celebrate ramadan with international students as well as making international students feel at home during this ramadan.

The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of UTHM, Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Noh Dalimin, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International), Professor Dr. Hashim Saim, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Professor Dr. Wahid Razzaly, deans, and senior officers of UTHM.

Iftar with international students 2015 was conducted alongside several events such as distributing tokens of welfare from the International Office to international students, launching of the first International Office Bulletin and a tazkirah session.

Iftar 2015 was also an event to celebrate the former Director of International Office, Professor Ir. Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Samad, one year term in office. Assuming the duties of Director of International Office will be Professor Dr. Yusri Yusof. Professor Dr. Yusri who was formely the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, will start his term in the International Office on 1st July 2015. The International Office expresses the highest and sincerest gratitude to Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz for his term in the International Office and congratulates Professor Dr. Yusri for his appointment as the new Director of International Office.

This annual event was concluded with the iftar and prayers. The International Office would continue this annual event for international students in the years to come.
