WUHAN – Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) via its only student, Nuriswari A/P Gunalan, of Faculty of Engineering Technology has proudly represented the university in the Malaysia-China Youth TVET Training (MCYTT) 2.0 programme held at Wuhan Technical College of Communication in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, from 24 June to 4 July 2026.

Nuriswari was selected alongside 21 other students from various public universities and polytechnics across Malaysia to take part in the Chinese + Artificial Intelligence Technology Training Programme, an international mobility initiative designed to strengthen participants’ technical competencies, global outlook, and industry readiness in emerging technologies.
The MCYTT 2.0 programme was organised by the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) under the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA), in strategic collaboration with the National Association of Skilled Workers (Belia Mahir Project).
Throughout the programme, participants underwent intensive practical training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for industrial product quality inspection, with a particular emphasis on AI-based welding defect detection.
Participants also visited advanced technology and innovation facilities to observe real-world applications of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
Among the highlights were demonstrations of the Xiaomi CyberDog 2 bionic quadruped robot and visits to an aviation and aerospace digital training centre, providing valuable insights into intelligent automation, robotics, and advanced engineering technologies.
This experience enhanced Nuriswari’s cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and technical perspective, reflecting UTHM’s commitment to producing globally competitive, future-ready graduates.
