
BATU PAHAT – Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and the largest university of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN) has recently inked an agreement for double degree programmes.
This agreement enables students to pursue a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering at UTHM alongside a Master’s degree in Mechatronics and Robotics at HHN.
The first cohort of students from both universities has taken part in this programme and successfully completed their academic achievements as part of the double degree framework.
To add up, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has also announced a fund amounting to €175,000 through the programme “Integrated International Courses with Double Degree” to support student and faculty exchanges for two years from 2025 to 2027.
This partnership is of immense strategic importance for both UTHM and HHN.
By strengthening the double degree programme, UTHM is positioning itself to enhance academic reputation, integrate cutting-edge research from Germany, and increase the global visibility while, HHN stands to benefit from the rich academic and cultural exchange, fostering greater international cooperation and research collaboration.
