Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) is the first university in Malaysia to receive OPITO Global Qualifications and Standards for public TVET institution. The accreditation was bestowed to the university during the Opening Ceremony of Johor Talent Development and Career Carnival in Persada, Johor Baharu recently. For the record, OPITO (Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization) is the entity that accredits global recognition and standards to ensure high competency and safety of the workforce in the industry.
