Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) takes a significant leap forward when it obtains recognition in five out of eight categories in the evaluation by the Quacquarelli Symonds Assessment System (QS) Stars Rating.
For the record, the QS Stars rating system is operated by the QS Intelligence Unit, the independent compiler of QS World University Rankings which is based in London. Since 2010, the Unit has evaluated more than 270 institutions in 45 countries.
UTHM is rated 5 stars in the categories of Teaching, Employability, Facilities, Social Responsibility and Inclusiveness. This shows a great improvement from the previous year, and it is certainly due to the comprehensive efforts from all parties in the University.
UTHM obtains a 4-star status for the overall scores in the eight categories audited which are: Research, Employability, Teaching, Facilities, Internationalization, Social Responsibility, Inclusiveness and Programme Strength in Civil Engineering. This is indeed a proud achievement considering that the University has only been established for two decades.
This excellent achievement proves that UTHM is capable to compete with other renowned local and international universities in achieving a world class university status in the future.
