The Faculty of Science, Technology and Human Development, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the ‘Jom Singgah Sahur’ (a pre-dawn meal session with police officers, firefighters and healthcare staff) from 1 to 2 July 2017 at Larkin Fire Station, Sultanah Aminah Hospital Johor Bahru, and South Johor Bahru Regional Police Headquarters. The programme which was carried out by 5 staff and 40 students, involved 106 locals. The aim of this programme was to provide a platform and opportunity for UTHM students to be involved in community service and be exposed to the job scopes, risks and challenges faced by police officers, fire fighters and healthcare staff. A sum of RM0.00 was allocated for this programme
