The students of Modern Music Course of the Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the Light of Hope Concert at Kejora Hall, Taman Sri Lambak (T6), Kluang, Johor. This programme which was carried out by 32 UTHM students and staff, involved 200 students from schools around Kluang district. The aim of the programme was to raise fund to help underprivileged students. Among activities conducted were music workshop and concert. UTHM provided transportation and musical instruments for the programme. A total of RM1000 was raised from this programme and was handed to the needy through a representative from the District Education Office. A sum of RM 300.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM2,019.36
