The Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (FKEE), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with Special Education Unit, Batu Pahat District Education Office organised the Arts and Skills Carnival (KARSEH 2.0) from 8 to 9 May 2017 at Sultan Ibrahim Hall, UTHM. The programme involved 25 students and staff with 80 students in special needs. The collaboration managed to highlight talents among special needs students from both primary and secondary schools around Batu Pahat. A total of 12 events were contested namely; cooking, batik painting, colouring, fancy dress, singing, make-up, flower arrangement, sewing, crafting, calligraphy painting, electrical circuit installment and housekeeping. The special needs students displayed their high commitment in this programme. They were guided by teachers, teaching assistants and FKEE students throughout the programme. A sum of RM 9,500.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost,in-kind and cash, was RM20,624.00
