The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the One Family One Rescuer programme from 9 until 10 December 2016 at the Heritage Camp, Yong Peng, Batu Pahat. The programme involved 50 UTHM students and staff as well as 80 members of Kampung Seri Sepakat. It aimed to provide basic knowledge on early treatment and introduce participants to basic emergency aids. Activities such as at home emergency simulations and rescue equipment as well as traditional sports and gotong-royong were held. UTHM provided transportation and equipment for the programme. A sum of RM500.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM5,748.00
