The Centre for General Studies and Co-Curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the Learn How to Properly Slaughter Animals programme on 9 December 2016 at UTHM Sultan Ibrahim Mosque. The programme involved 34 UTHM students and staff. It aimed at exposing the participants to the concepts of religious slaughter and evaluating the participants’ ability to slaughter the animals correctly. Talks on halal food and demonstrations on how to slaughter chicken, rabbit, cow and goat as well as to slice and wash the raw meat according to the Islamic perspectives were conducted. A sum of RM340.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM 1,104.32.
