The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, UniversitiTun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the Heartbeat of The Valley: Healing Hands, Caring Hearts programme from 1 to 3 December 2016 at Tasik Y Recreational Park, Batu Pahat, Johor. The programme involved 30 UTHM students and staff as well as 100 members of the local community. It aimed to instill unity between the students and local community and create awareness on the importance of healthy lifestyle. Activities such as aerobics, health exhibition, street interviews, gotong-royong and news writing were conducted. UTHM provided a bus for the programme and a sum of RM1,290.00 was allocated. The total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM4,313.20
