The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the Exposure to Emergency Treatment Programme from 9 until 10 December 2016 at the Heritage Camp, Yong Peng, Batu Pahat. The programme involved 50 UTHM students and staff as well as 80 members of Kampung Sungai Berlian. It aimed to provide basic knowledge of first aide and introduce participants to basic emergency response. Activities such as in-group trainings, traditional games and gotong-royong were conducted. UTHM provided transportation and equipment for the programme. A sum of RM500.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM5,748.00.
