The Office for University and Community Relations, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the UTHM-SKK STEM Camp on 21 November 2016 at UTHM Tunku Mahkota Ismail Hall. The programme involved 40 UTHM students and staff as well as 450 school students and teachers from 8 cluster schools in Batu Pahat. The purpose of the programme was to inculcate the school students’ interests in learning about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and promote UTHM as a STEM reference centre for Batu Pahat and Johor. The activities conducted were to enhance academic and co-curricular excellence in subjects such as Malay language, English language, Mathematics, Science, Football, Netball, Chess and Environment. A sum of RM16, 000.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM20,899.20
