The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organized the Gempak Amal programme from 30 November to 4 December 2016. The programme involved 32 UTHM students and staff. It aimed to fulfill the requirements of one of the courses offered by the Centre and provide opportunities for students to practice social work, teamwork, respect and solidarity. Among the activities conducted were sales of items, blood donation, religious talks as well as colouring, cooking and singing competitions. UTHM provided transportation and canopies for the programme. A sum of RM320.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM4,916.80
