The Student Development Centre, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with the Counselling and Career Club organized the ‘10 Johor Districts Community Service Programme’ from 24 to 26 November 2016 at Felda Chemplak, Segamat, Johor. The programme involved a total of 60 UTHM students, 5 staff and 100 local community members from 10 districts in Johor. Activities such as religious talk, gotong-royong, telematch, and aerobics were conducted. Other than being a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and skills with the local community, it also fostered the spirit of volunteerism, self-identity and commitment to collaborate in organising charity activities. UTHM provided transportation and facilities like sports equipment, cleaning tools, audio-visual, and digital facilities. A sum of RM12,600.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM17,983.60.
