The Student Affairs Office and University Volunteer Club, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with the Malaysian University Volunteer Council (MASKUM) organised a community service programme : ‘Siswa Curah Bakti’ from 10 to 12 December 2015 at Kampung Palembang Baru, Kluang Johor and Kampung Belahan Tampok Rengit, Batu Pahat Johor. The programme involved 80 UTHM students and staff, as well as 100 members of the local community. The programme aimed to share information, experience and skills. The programme exposed the students to the local community through the foster family programme, gotong-royong, social visits, dances, silat and telematch. UTHM provided transportation for the programme. A sum of RM14, 150.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM23,045.20
