The Islamic Centre and the Staff Welfare Club, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the ‘Khatan (Male Circumcision) Programme’ on 5 December 2015 at the UTHM Sultan Ibrahim Mosque. This programme involved 35 UTHM students and staff, as well as 25 male children. It aimed to establish the mosque as the centre of social activities and not limited to performing the five prayers.  This programme also helped make the circumcision process more systematic and retain the traditional practices.  A sum of  RM1,690.00 was allocated for this programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM2,876.80
