The University and Community Relations Office, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with the Kluang District Office and Sembrong UMNO Education Committee organised the ‘Kg. Chamek Community Service Programme’ from 17 to 19 December 2015 at Mukim Niur, Kluang. The programme involved 40 UTHM students and staff, as well as 133 community members of Kampung Niyor, Kampung Chamek, and Kampung Melayu GSA. The programme aimed at training undergraduates on volunteerism through community activities such as foster family programme, ESL workshops, recreational activities, and health checkups. UTHM provided transportation for the programme. A sum of RM15,500.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM19,697.60
