The University and Community Relations Office, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the ‘Construction of the Kuala Lipis Community Homes Programme’ from November to December 2015 at Kampong Aur Gading, Padang Tengku, Kuala Lipis, Pahang. The programme involved 10 UTHM students and staff, as well as 30 local community members. The purpose of the programme was to help the flood victims and poverty-stricken community members. Activities conducted were building a community house at Kampung Aur Gading and two houses for poverty-stricken families at Kampung Guar, Pahang. UTHM provided transportation and construction equipment for the programme. A sum of RM 93, 500.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash,was RM94,724.80
