The Centre for Student Development in collaboration with the Counselling and Career Club, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised a community service programme: ‘Santai Membantu’ on 27 May 2015 at Baitus Solehah Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre, Skudai, Johor. The programme involved 10 UTHM students and staff, as well as 35 participants from the shelter. It aimed to provide facilitators the opportunity to use counselling approaches in their interaction with the troubled youths. The activities included motivational talks, knowledge sharing and counselling sessions. A sum of RM518 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM2,002.80
