The Centre of General Studies and Co-Curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with the UTHM Islamic Centre organised the Ukhwah Camp (a motivation programme) from 8 to 10 December 2016 at UTHM Sultan Ibrahim Mosque. The programme which involved 49 students and staff aimed to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of youths in becoming responsible citizens. The programme provided exposure to the participants on the knowledge of animals slaughtering and the halal slaughter principles in Islam. Activities such as ice breaking, aerobics, talent night, gotong-royong and traditional games were conducted. UTHM provided transportation and equipment for the programme. A sum of RM1,780.00 was allocated and the total cost, in-kind and cash, was RM 3,983.04.
