The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the Menggilap Mutiara Programme from 22 to 27 October 2016 at Bukit Sedanan, Alor Gajah, Malacca. The programme which was carried out by 67 UTHM staff and students, involved 50 school cadets from Sri Gading Secondary School, Tun Dr. Ismail Secondary School and Parit Raja Islamic Secondary School. The aims of the programme were to produce future officers who are skillful and trustworthy, discover new talents, and cultivate positive attitude and characters among the participants. UTHM provided transportation and other necessary materials for the programme. A sum of RM6,500.00 was allocated for the programme and the total cost, in-kind and cash was RM19,212.32
