The Centre for General Studies and Co-curricular, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) organised the ‘Search and Rescue Training Exercise’ from 4 to 5 November 2016 at Mount Muntahak, Kota Tinggi. The programme involved 49 UTHM students and staff. It aimed to provide knowledge and skills in rescuing victims in forests and cliffs. UTHM provided transportation and facilities for this programme. A sum of RM 2,940.00 was allocated and the total cost, in- kind and cash, was RM 5,243.04
