BATU PAHAT- Para penyelidik dari Fakulti Sains Gunaan dan Teknologi (FAST) berjaya mengumpul pingat di Persidangan dan Ekspo Ciptaan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Antarabangsa (PECIPTA’19) dan Penyelidikan, Simposium dan Pameran Antarabangsa 2019 (RISE) bertempat di Dewan Sultan Ibrahim, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) pada 22 hingga 24 September lalu.

FAST telah memperolehi pingat sebanyak empat pingat iaitu satu pingat emas dan tiga gangsa di PECIPTA’19 manakala di RISE 2019 pula fakulti ini meraih sebanyak 23 pingat iaitu sembilan pingat emas, 11 perak dan dua pingat gangsa.

Untuk rekod, sebanyak lapan anugerah telah dipertandingkan di PECIPTA’19 iaitu Anugerah The Pitch, Anugerah PECIPTA, Juara Inovasi Pendidikan Khas, Top Winner Stem Young Inventor, Top Winner Fundamental, Top Winner Innovation, Top Winner Commercialization dan Best of the best manakala sebanyak enam kategori anugerah telah dipertandingkan di RISE 2019 iaitu kategori Applied Research, Education, Management, Humanity & Social Science, Engineering Science & Technology, Fundamental, Information Technology & Communication dan Innovative.
