BATU PAHAT, June 23 – Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM) Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration was celebrated at the Tunku Tun Aminah Library by the university community as well as other  guests.

The celebration, hosted by the Registrar Office of UTHM in collaboration with centres (PTj) and faculties in UTHM served more than 15 varieties of Hari Raya staples such as ketupat, rendang, satay, laksa, cendol, and grilled lamb.

Dato’ Dr. Mohd Sofi Osman, the Chairman of UTHM Board of Directors (LPU), along with other LPU Members and UTHM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ts. Dr. Wahid bin Razzaly visited each available booth to socialise with the staff and community.

Johor Education, Human Resource, Science and Technology Committee chairman and Parit Yaani assemblyman, YB Aminolhuda Hassan; Members of Board of Directors, UTHM Deputy Vice Chancellors and senior officers were also present.

Parit Yaani assemblyman YB Aminolhuda Hassan, representing the Johor state government in his speech wished Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to UTHM executive committee and community.

He also reminded UTHM students to always mind the trust gained from their parents responsibly and they have to study diligently and do not waste learning opportunities to be qualified to graduate with excellence, thus ensuring they can contribute back to the country.

Performances by the Cultural Centre UTHM, who presented a few songs made the celebration more festive and joyful. The guests who attended were fully entertained as well.

The Hari Raya celebration is held annually to strengthen the relationship between the university top management and the university community. Organising such an event can indirectly inculcate unity and solidarity in the community.
